Movie Club: Charade

We’ve all heard of book clubs, so how about a Movie Club? Corning’s new Movie Club is a way for folks who love movies to connect and discuss a selected movie each month. Local artist and cinephile, Amelia FH Cueva, will select movies that are either in the Library collection, or easily accessible for streaming for free and will lead a group conversation on last Thursdays of the month from 5:30-6:30pm. Light refreshments provided. No sign up required, just show up.
Important: Please watch the movie ahead of time. Movie Club is a discussion group only.
Charade (1963), directed by Stanley Donen, and starring Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Walter Matthau, James Coburn, and George Kennedy.
Watch the original film trailer.
Ten copies of the film on DVD are available to be checked out in the library system, and it is available for streaming (ad free) on Kanopy and Hoopla with your library card. It can also be streamed for free (with ads) on YouTube, Tubi, and Pluto TV.
Upcoming films in the program are yet to be determined.
Below are interesting posters from foreign releases of the film.
