SUMMARY:Lil Rockwell | Stroller Walk: Color Play
DESCRIPTION:Meet at Nonnie Hood Parents’ Resource Center for a stroll down Market Street\, ending at the Art Lab. Enjoy a story with Miss Sue from the Southeast Steuben County Library\, then stay for a first peek at the colorful summer exhibition in the Art Lab. Stay after the program to explore the self-guided activities in the Art Lab and exhibitions in The Rockwell Museum.   \nLil Rockwell creates opportunities to explore art-viewing and artmaking for our littlest visitors and their caregivers. During different months\, you’ll find either an art class suitable for children 18 mo-5 years; a story hour for children of all ages; or a stroller walk\, where even infants can participate! Lil Rockwell occurs on the first Thursday of every month except for September. This program is designed to engage your little ones through art exploration; and for the grown-ups–we have coffee!

DESCRIPTION:Hands-on experimentation with robots not only encourages creativity\, but also helps develop essential skills in programming and mechanical engineering. Participants will get a chance to learn by doing\, tackling challenges like object manipulation and navigation\, which are fundamental aspects of robotics. \nA big shoutout to FRC 3799 Electric Fire and FTC 36854 Nuclear Detonation teams for their generous donation of the VEX Claw Bots! These resources will undoubtedly enhance the learning experience and provide participants with the tools they need to thrive in the world of robotics.\nParticipants who demonstrate cooperation®️ will be given registration preference for the Fall 2025 FIRST Tech Challenge library team!\nFor creators ages 12-17.
