DESCRIPTION:Immerse yourself in the amazing sounds of our planet!\nThrough giant screen images\, surround sound\, and live presentation\, Global Soundscapes takes you on an ear-opening journey into the science of sound and the emerging field of soundscape ecology.\nEmbark on a mission to investigate the dramatic soundscapes of Costa Rica’s rainforest\, Hawaii’s coral reefs and Mongolia’s vast grasslands.\nLearn about the tools that scientists use to record and analyze sounds. Explore basic acoustics through interactive activities and incredible slow-motion footage of pulsating musical instruments\, vibrating vocal chords\, and slobbering “raspberries.”\nDiscover what soundscapes tell us about the health of our planet. \nThe program takes place at the Digital Dome on the SUNY Corning Community College Campus. \nWe will meet at the Digital Dome. Miss Sue will pay the $4 admission for the first 25 attendees\, both kids and parents or  caretakers.\nAfter that\, people will have to pay the $4 admission fee themselves.
