Museum & Empire Passes

“We may sit in our library and yet be in all quarters of the earth.” – John Lubbock

While the above quote is true, when friends and family visit you may not want to sit in the Library. Fear not, we understand, and we have another option: passes to local museums, and NY Empire Passes to state parks.

Among the great things about living in Corning, besides this wonderful library, of course, are our two remarkable, world-class museums: The Corning Museum of Glass, and The Rockwell Museum.

We are also not far from some of New York’s most beautiful and interesting State parks, including Watkins Glen, Newtown Battlefield, Stony Brook and Taughannock Falls.

When friends and family visit, you’ll want to take them to see these local treasures, and we have you covered: we have 4 passes to each museum, and 2 Empire Passes.

Remember: kids 17 and under are admitted free to the museums, so you won’t need passes for them, and the Empire Pass admits everyone in a single vehicle, regardless of ages.

You can ask for these passes at the circulation desk. Please have your library card ready.

It is not possible to place a hold on these passes; they are available strictly first come, first served.

You can check out one, two, three or all four passes for up to a week.

Because these passes are very popular, we cannot hold them; they are available on a first come, first served basis. And because these passes are so popular, please return them by the due date.

If passes are lost, the replacement fee is $75 per CMOG and Rockwell Museum pass, and $80 per Empire Pass.

Don’t have a library card? We can get you one of those, too! Click here to learn what you need to get a library card.
