Tonight’s Poetry Reading is postponed and will be rescheduled. Please check back for a new date soon, and we look forward to you joining Akua at the new date and time.

The history of Africans in America was first celebrated in 1926; the week long celebration grew to a month long observation in 1976.  Akua will read from her body of work and some others that reflect on the history of Black Americans.

The reading will be streamed live on the Zoom platform. There is no need to sign up, just click this link on the date and time: bit.ly/BlackHistPoetry

The reading will be recorded and will be available a few days after the event on our YouTube channel.
This event is made possible in part with support from The Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.
