Update: When you come to the Eclipse Party, you will be able to watch NASA’s coverage of the eclipse on our big screen, just in case it is cloudy.
We will explore shadows and create suncatchers before the eclipse starts, and then we’ll watch the sun as it “disappears” and then re-appears.
Everyone in attendance will receive eclipse glasses to safely view the event. You must come to the party to get your eclipse glasses.
The Library’s two pairs of eclipse sunoculars were made possible by a generous gift from Glaswerk Optical at 72 E Market St. in Corning, NY.
