June 18- Juneteenth Celebration Kickoff- “Buffalo Soldiers” Outdoor Movie at Steele Memorial Library, Lot opens at 8pm to gather, movie starts at 9pm

Begin the Juneteenth Celebration on Friday night with this FREE outdoor movie event. We will watch “Buffalo Soldiers” with Danny Glover, rated G, 95 min. This free event includes an outdoor movie, water and popcorn, a treat from Kool Treats Ice Cream Truck, and prizes. This is a celebration of community as we also remember the legacy of W. Keith Vaughan, who worked with EOP of Elmira. Bring your own chair or blanket.

This event is a collaboration with the Economic Opportunity Program of Chemung and Schuyler Counties (EOP), the Chemung County Library District (CCLD), and Southeast Steuben County Library in Corning. Please park on Church Street or use the garage on Grey Street. Individuals can be dropped off using Railroad Avenue in front of the library entrance.  Masks are required while walking around, getting food, and interacting with anyone outside of your group (regardless of vaccination status)
