Join the Southeast Steuben County Library for a intensive writers conference, featuring speakers and panelists that will help you accomplish your writing goals!
10:00 – 11:00 am: Using Social Media to Promote Your Writing
with Marnie Lersch (Public Relations Coordinator at the Southeast Steuben County Library)
11:00 – Noon: Publishing Panel
with Casey Winston, Programs and Outreach Manager at the ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes and a panel of writers including: Louise A. Blum, Jessica Degarmo, Christy Nicholas, and Patrick Thomas.
Noon – 1:00 pm: Lunch and Networking
Lunch will be provided
1:00 – 3:00 pm: Literary Side Projects and Creative Detours
a presentation and workshop with Andrei Guruiamu, author and Senior Language Lecturer, Expository Writing Program of New York University.
Presentation: Andrei will discuss the benefits of “thinking small” as a way to nurture the creative self and foster a frame of mind that keeps you coming back to what you love to do. He will also read from examples of his own recently published work.
Workshop: Participants will explore a range of “creative detours” and begin their own side project.
3:00 – 4:00 pm: Tech for Writers
with Hannah Waschezyn, Digital Literacy Specialist at the Southeast Steuben County Library
