Each year in January and February, the The Friends of the Southeast Steuben County Library present Books Sandwiched In (BSI), a lunchtime book series featuring local speakers reviewing notable works of fiction and nonfiction. In 2025, the program will take place on Wednesdays at noon from January 8 through February 12.
BSI will be presented only in-person this year, once again at the First Congregational United Church at 171 W. Pulteney St, Corning.
In the event that you are unable to attend in person, each presentation will be recorded and made available soon afterwards on our YouTube Channel: just click Playlists under our Owl logo, then click Books Sandwiched In.
While you’re there, check out some of the other 300+ videos our staff and guests have created in the past few years.
The program starts at 12:00 noon, and will end at approximately 1:00 PM. Presenters usually speak for 30 minutes or so, and allow 15-20 minutes for questions. Louise Richardson will introduce the presenters, and will act as moderator for the question and answer period.
