The Southeast Steuben County Library’s Creation Station is a public creative space. It has a widely diverse set of high tech and non-tech tools and supplies to help you make almost anything you can imagine. But the Creation Station is more than just tools: it is the skilled and helpful staff that can introduce you to new materials and processes, and encourage your creativity to soar!
It is our mission to make learning free and accessible to everyone. This includes creative literacy. Patrons must receive training and be certified to use many of the Creation Station tools. Make an appointment if you want to learn how to use the tools to turn your ideas into reality. Let’s schedule an appointment and meet at the Station.

3-D Printers: The library has three 3-D Printers: a Makerbot Replicator and Replicator 2, as well as a Snapmaker, all of which can be used to print physical objects. They use colored PLA (polylactic acid) filament, a fully biodegradable vegetable-based thermoplastic polymer. Contact Kayla (cranek@stls.org) to learn more about the printing process.
Please Note: The 3-D printing process takes a long time; patrons can request projects to be printed, and staff will print the projects and notify patrons when they are ready to be picked up.
