Patrons, please note: This form is used to request books not in the collections of member libraries of the Southern Tier Library System (STLS). Before filling out this form, use STARCat, STLS’s automated catalog to see if the item you need may already be in our Library System. You may also find Starcat under the  “CATALOG” link at the top of any Web page on this site. If you find the item you need in StarCat, place a “HOLD.” We will contact you when it is ready to pick up.

• If the item is not listed in StarCat you will need publication information for the item you wish to request. This can be found through a wider search using WorldCat. Please use this information to fill out the form below.
• A Reference Department staff member will be happy to assist you in this process.

Out-of-System Inter-Library Loan Request Rules:

1. Patrons may have a maximum of 3 out-of-system requests at one time.
2. We are unable to request books published in the current calendar year.
3. Loan periods for these special requests are set by the owning library and may be less than 28 days.
4. Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library.
